Have you ever had any regrets in life?
I did not until recently that I could not make it to a hiking trip to Irau Hike that we planned for years. I kept asking myself ‘Why? Why now?’…
To a certain extent, I’ve been contemplating whether this turn of events is somehow fated, and I find it challenging to convince myself of that notion. The sadness of not being able to embark on the hike has taken a toll on my energy, leaving me feeling stuck. Fortunately, I’ve come to terms with the reality that the hike isn’t feasible, and I’m choosing to redirect my focus towards enjoying the remaining days in Cameron Highlands. Shifting my perspective has brought a sense of relief, and I am now embracing the opportunity to make the most of the rest of my time here.
This experience has instilled in me the lesson of not planning too far in advance, highlighting the value of spontaneity. I’ve come to appreciate that deviating from established plans isn’t necessarily a negative thing; in fact, it can bring about positive changes. Ultimately, I’ve learned that being open to adjustments and embracing spontaneity can lead to unexpectedly enjoyable outcomes.
