In this year’s CNY, we were able to celebrate in full force. When I think back to last year, we were still under some sort of restriction. As for myself, thinking back about last year, I just started a new job and didn’t take any leave. Start working on CNY day 3.
In this year’s CNY, I am taking the longest leave of my life and will not start working until Day 12 of CNY. A month ago, I started to plan out on my CNY gathering with some old friends that I was unable to meet last year. As well, thinking about 1 or 2 old friends that didn’t really keep touch with like easily more than 15 years and wanted to meet for a coffee.
There are some changes on the CNY celebration this year where we may want to be with our VIPs at home to be with us on the 1st few days before I get busy with my friends. We will not be having any sibling’s day out this year since 2 of my siblings are not in town. We got to embrace these changes as they may not be as bad as we thought.
There are not as many preparations compared to those days. We are getting simple each year as we just wanna be chill and relax on the CNY breaks. We even had the option to have a full day vegetarian on the Day 1 of CNY instead of half day for the last few years. I guess this will be a good start for us all.
CNY23 will be another year with family and friends.
