The 1971 Kuala Lumpur floods were a major flash flood disaster in Malaysia. Today, December 17, 2021, we were facing the worst floods ever after 50 years. It’s hit us badly especially we went through a tough time during these 2 years of pandemic.
I was heartbroken when watching those videos of the affected areas. Some water levels were up to 10 feet’s and you only see the rooftop. Honestly, watching those videos and photos shared on Social Media are just hurting us all. I could not imagine being homeless overnight with no preparation at all. All documentations and assets are gone in a night.
There is always a good thing behind every bad situation. Through this flood disaster, we all could see the united family of Malaysians lend a hand helping each other without looking at our differences. Some Political parties, NGO’s and citizens have just initiated the help to get those out from the floods scenes.

The most happiest thing we see through this difficulties together. Again, this has given me a thought that I am truly grateful and lucky to be still with my family safely. Nothing beat over a simple get together with people you love.
