Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. Being a Malaysian, born and raised in Kuala Lumpur and I always get to hear there are just nothing special about city center? My early life is pretty much just in Kuala Lumpur and I do not really mingled lot with people except in my town. Until I continued my College time where most of my course mates are from others states.
It is an eye opening after since I stepping into the real world and start my first job.
What I like about Kuala Lumpur is the building and people around who consider the friendliest if you have been traveled around. The most exciting moment is walk around the town during weekend especially Sunday. My dad used to tell me that if you want to have a peace of mind driving around the city, Sunday is the best day. True enough and you can just relaxing walk around in the city.
During this Covid19 pandemic, I have not really taking a walk here and today I bring my buddy to exploring back to this beautiful city. Here is a list of places that we have been and I just love it.
Places around with walking distance from KL Tower.
- KL Tower, The Significant building with 421 meters tall.
- KL Forest Eco-Park. The only forest reserve in city center. [Closed since October 5, 2020 until further notice]
- Bunch of restaurants at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng. Almost 9 different restaurants are under one roof. Very interesting.
- St. John Cathedral. You will see lots of Pilipino mingled around here for Sunday bazaar and catching up with friend’s day.
- Petaling Street/ Chinatown.
- Guan Di Temple and Sri Mama Mariamman Temple at Jalan HS Lee.
- Kwai Chai Street. IG check-in hot spot. Some cafes and you can get some egg tarts here.
- Kafei Dian. A good place for tourist to experience a local breakfast meal with a cup of Kopi Iced.
- Selangor Grocery Guild, Sultan Street café-bar. This is a very interesting building.
- Jalan Sultan, and Jalan HS Lee are the 2 Must Go street to explore on some cafes around.
Kuala Lumpur is not just limit to these few. In fact, there are just more to explore around the town. I will bring you around my city in my next trip to the other side of Kuala Lumpur beside the nightlife in city in just everywhere in the world.
