Being an Asian myself, I always has this fancy feeling about Westerners. Since young, I love to listen to Western music, Western movie and following Westerner news. Some friends may think I will end up with some ‘Mat Salleh’.
Right after my college graduation, I started with my first job where allows me to mingle along with different cultures and races. It has opened up my eyes to the world. After a while, I started to see thing in a different perspective. We all are the same human being and just we are living life a bit differently. I’m no longer feel something special to be with anyone but what I care the most is the personality and characteristic of an individual. I must say it is still physical attraction goes first when you first meeting someone whether it is friends or partner.
I do not judge someone by HUMAN RACE. For me, someone brought up is far more important than the race and their wealth. I have came across many people through my 20 years of working life and connect with people. I would say I am still learning to judge a person now. However, the one thing I realized make a big impact on my perspective is their brought up. Understand someone brought up will eventually make me know better about someone. You just cannot fake it.
Some time when different people have different perspective on an issue, we cannot take it as wrong or right all the times. This is because we used to the way we see thing. I need to learn to listen to others and show empathy rather than just think we are different in a way that people always wrong.
