What is Marriage To You?

Many times I asked about this question to many different people. The answer is different from individual. Some say it’s enjoyment. Some say it’s suffering. Some say it’s a learning process in a long term. Some say it’s all about compromising. Some say it’s a heaven. Some say it’s hell. And even some say nothing has changed.

There are no correct or wrong answers but it’s always based on each person experiences on this.When two different individuals decided to spend the rest of their life with the other person, they already know it is not easy because life is full of challenges beside ‘Love‘. When Love is started right, Love can be the only thing to save your marriage. I would call it the foundation of a marriage.

We learnt to accept. We learnt to tolerant. We learnt to communicate well. We learnt to compromise. There is always a limit on each person bottomline where they will call it off and let go on this someday. Personally, I feel ‘Marriage’ is a decision and promises that you made to the other person that you are ready to accept what it is and no matter what are the changes or challenges that you faced, promise to encounter it all together.

A lot of times, people feel that Marriage is something that you work less effort compared to courtship. I feel the other way around. Both persons got to work really hard to maintain not only Love but a Marriage as long term. No give up easily and acceptance level is way higher than in a courtship. Just when you are in a big quarrel, you cannot just walk away from the scenes and forget about it in a marriage. You may have your cold period all but you need to come back to solve the problem and carry on in life as a family.

Yes, we can be ego to anyone in our life but not to our Marriage. Just as what the message here saying ‘Egos and shoes OUTSIDE.’

If you are not gonna do this, please remain single and enjoy your life than ruined someone life.
